What to Include in an Article Resource Box

Articles are a cost effective way of marketing any type of business online. They have been tested and proven to work well in terms of promoting a business and its offerings to the general public, attracting a good share of readers on the internet and increasing one’s credibility.

But in order for articles to do their magic, they should include more than just the title or headline and the details of your story. There’s one important part of an article that business owners should never forget to include today. What is it?

A resource box! Many authors and entrepreneurs will agree that a well written resource box has a greater chance of driving traffic, building credibility and getting the right market exposure for your business.

What is a resource box?

A resource box is that part of the article situated at the bottom that tells something about the author. It’s where readers will get to know the person or business behind the article and what they do.

This box is a way to let interested readers know where they can find out more about the author and his or her products or services whether it’s on their websites or blogs. It’s an effective tool to drive traffic to a site. You will normally find this resource box in most articles published in both free and paid article submission directories.

What details to include?

So that you can drive traffic to your website or blog, a resource box needs to contain the necessary information about your business as well as the products or service you offer. Apart from your full name, make sure you include a short description about yourself and provide the link to your website or blog. You also have to be sure that you make the link live so readers can have easy access to your site when they click on it.

Not all article submission directories automatically make your website or blog link live. In case you need to do it manually, the best way to do it is to include the http:// before your main website URL. So a clickable link would appear like this http://www.wendymoore.net.

Another important thing to include is your photo. Web users not only want to know your full name and the business you’re engaged in but they also want to see the person behind the article and putting a photo of yourself in the resource box is a great way to drive them to your website and other resources.

You may also want to include a simple call to action in your resource box. This is an effective way to attract readers to your website because you’re offering something valuable to them at absolutely no cost. You can offer an ebook, a downloadable audio file, a pdf document, reports or subscription information.

Finally, keep your resource box short and straight to the point. Limit it to just three to four sentences and avoid providing too many details.

How to Utilise Twitter Lists

How to Utilise Twitter Lists

Twitter is one of the most widely used social media sites today along side Facebook and YouTube. This unique social media platform boasts many great features that many of you have not yet fully utilised. One of these features is Twitter Lists.

What are Twitter Lists?

The list feature allows you to easily organise the people you are following and those who are following you. It lets you create specific groups and even allows you to include people you are not yet following.

By doing this, you can focus on viewing the tweets of specific people on a single page rather than being overwhelmed by the constant updates and numerous messages that appear in your main tweet stream.

Why use Twitter Lists?

An important function of Twitter Lists is to recommend people other users are not yet following. What you can do is group them together in one list and recommend the entire list to friends, business associates or colleagues whom you think will benefit from following them. How you group your list is up to you – it could be people in your local area, those with a specific skill set or expertise or even those that share great insights.

So when a fellow Twitter user visits the page of a specific list, he or she can decide who among the people there to follow. It’s a great way of sharing who you love to follow and who adds value to your Tweeting experience.

Following a list does not necessarily mean following all the people included there. It’s just a way for you to find out what’s new with those on the list and it’s up to you to choose who you’d like to follow on a regular basis. You can even include yourself in those lists.

How do I create a Twitter List?

Creating Twitter lists is easy. Just click on that Lists button immediately to the left of your Bio when you log into Twitter. Click the drop down triangle and select New List to create a new list or simply add to an existing one.

After creating the list, you will need to search for other Twitter users to add in there. Each user can create up to 20 lists but each list is limited to only 500 people. You also have the freedom to remove users from your list.

How do I share my Twitter List?

Via the privacy settings, you can choose to make the group public such that anyone can subscribe to the list or you can decide to make it private allowing you to have exclusive access. When your list is public, this is visible to everybody and anyone can follow the list. If it’s private, it’s only who can access the list and manage the people in there.

If you’re a business owner or just a frequent Twitter user who has thousands of followers and are following thousands of people as well, creating lists will benefit you greatly. In this way, you are able to separate your family from your friends, business associates and clients and classify the people you are following according to specific categories.

Using Twitter Lists is indeed yet one more effective organising tool that will make using Twitter much easier. For people in business, using Twitter lists will enable you to interact better with your target audience.

So if you’re not yet on Twitter, then it’s time to join in and reap the benefits. Get yourself and your business in front of the world and truly reach a global audience.
